Greetings,
As we move into winter here in the southern hemisphere it is time to adapt to the different patterns/routines that come with the drop in temperature.
My ocean swimming has sadly been put on pause until warmer weather returns (and is what I prefer!!). I have resumed more walking by the ocean instead – sometimes on the sand and other times on the footpath – which is important for my wellbeing and social interaction as well as connection with nature. How do you adapt to the change in seasons to safeguard your health?
It is sad to learn of the sudden and recent passing of Dr. Rashid Buttar in the USA (aged 57). He was such a courageous, brilliant and inspiring doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, amongst other qualifications, and a spokesperson for educating people to question their choices. He was a tireless advocate for health freedom. His wisdom has sadly been shut down!
He said (and I too say) we need to hug more, love more and have more gratitude. We need to go forth boldly.
Another wise man who has ‘touched’ me recently is the late J. Krishnamurti. I came across some old footage of him speaking at an event in the 1970’s on social media. His philosophical messages were/are wonderful. I hadn’t investigated his teachings before.
My dearly departed Aunty (my mother’s older sister) had been a keen follower of his work and I only discovered this in the last few years of my Aunt’s life (she died aged 95 in 2003) when I was opening up more fully in my own spiritual growth. She had not openly discussed her interest in him in those days, as it was not widely understood or ‘acceptable’ in conventional society. I do wish I had more time with her sharing our ideas.
One of Krishnamurti’s wise messages was/is: Soul memory and early present life memory is within us of the past. However, create new memories by making new choices. Live in the now! (as many other wise teachers remind us).
Be bold and always be your highest self.
Many hugs,
Merriene
