Attracting a Whole Person by Becoming a Whole Person

A warm hello,

It has been a few months since my last newsletter due to a few things occurring.

I finally have a new, long overdue, lovely website (thank you Matthew) to announce my latest book ‘A Journey of Thoughts’ and be more up to date.

Due to being in a car crash, as a passenger, I am still recovering with six rib fractures. I have gratitude that the crash wasn’t worse. This has created a time of deep reflection.

During this time of slow recovery, I sorted through some boxes full of papers and records and been reminded of the many talks I have given over the years.

One such talk many years ago was as a keynote speaker at a Singles Convention run by American Singles Chairman Rich Gosse in the highly regarded Perth Parmelia Hotel grand ballroom with about 400 people in attendance. My topic was: “Attracting a whole person by becoming a whole person”.

The response was wonderful. I talked about loving ourselves first, leading a full and interesting life, being joyful, kind, compassionate, generous, forgiving and understanding and not being needy in expecting others to create our happiness. We do not need to find our other half to make us whole. When we are content with who we are (know thyself) we will attract to us those who sense we are not into dependency on them to be happy.

As we use our individual gifts and strengths to the best of our abilities our lives become fulfilling with or without a partner and we can be an inspiration for good. Of course, at times we have relationships that are challenging, and these are sources of great learning and growing in wisdom.

We usually don’t get to this place of feeling whole and complete quickly or easily. It takes a lot of work and many of us have ‘dark nights of the soul’ at some point in our life journey when we go deep within to identify our values and moral compass. Coming out the other side of this when we can claim our sovereignty, life seems to become more magical, and we find our ‘tribe’ of likeminded fellow humans. Our hearts are more open and free of restrictions in how and who we love.

May you be shining your own light of wholeness to attract those other lights of wholeness to you.

With love and blessings,

Merriene
